1914 Star, with clasp (39539 Gnr: J. R. Roberts. R.G.A.) very fine £80-£100

John Rupert Roberts was born in Newtown, Montgomeryshire, in 1894 and having attested for the Royal Garrison Artillery served with the 7th Divisional Ammunition Column during the Great War on the Western Front from 4 October 1914. He was wounded in action during the final stages of the War, his name appearing in the 12 November 1918 Casualty List.
