Percival Edward Owen Booth was born in Hendon, Middlesex, in 1892, and was commissioned in the Middlesex Regiment for service during the Great War. He served on the Western Front from 15 May 1916 and was killed in action on 1 July 1916, whilst attached to the Machine Gun Corps, during the first day of the Battle of the Somme. He is buried in Euston Road Cemetery, Colincamps, France.
