Thomas Hurley attested for the Worcestershire Regiment in 1905, and served with the 3rd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 12 August 1914. Transferring to the 1st Battalion, he was discharged due to wounds on 22 October 1918, aged 29, and was awarded a Silver War Badge No. B.31059.
