Frederick Robinson was born in 1893 and attested for the Grenadier Guards, serving with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 13 August 1914. He was wounded by gun shot to the left lung, and was discharged with the rank of Acting Sergeant on 20 February 1918, being awarded a Silver War Badge No. 321480.
