Cyril Stanley Carr Boulter was born in London in 1882. He attested into the Royal Field Artillery for service during the Great War. His Medal Index Card states that he served on the Western Front from October 1915, yet he was not entitled to a 1914-15 Star. He was awarded a Silver War Badge, No. B.45763.

Joseph Preston Cotton, a bank clerk from Sunderland, attested into the 26th (Banker’s) Battalion, Royal Fusiliers and served on the Western Front from 4 June 1916. He was commissioned into the Durham Light Infantry on 26 June 1917 and subsequently received a gunshot wound to the head. He died in Newcastle upon Tyne on 28 November 1959.

John Austin Hill, from Hull, Yorkshire, was commissioned into the Machine Gun Corps and served during the Great War on the Western Front from 30 August 1918.
