First only illustrated. Security at the present Royal Mint precludes workers taking in or bringing out coins; instead a system of laminated tokens, with differing values up to one pound, act as an internal currency and to pay for refreshment. The original Invicta series of plastic toy money was first marketed by Falconcraft in March 1968 as a training aid for cashiers; the type was also available for children as toys (Rogers, p.120)
