James III (1460-1488), Halfgroat, Edinburgh, mm. cross fleury, tressure of seven arcs broken by bust, trefoils on cusps, no letters by bust, rev. three pellets in first and fourth quarters, mullet of five points in second and third quarters, 1.20g/6h (SCBI 35, 767; B 6, fig. 607; S 5282 var.). Two small striking splits and legends weak in places, otherwise nearly very fine, very rare (£400-500)
