Rochdale, Littleborough, Hollingworth Lake Rowing Club, a silver award medal, unsigned, rower standing facing holding oar with ornate wreath border, rev. named (July 26th 1873 Challenge Fours W. Lord [Stroke]), 41 x 31mm. Good very fine and very rare £120-£150

The Rowing Club can be identified from its initials due to a newspaper article from August 1874 naming Lord as Stroke in the Maiden Fours race at the Agecroft Regatta in Salford.
