David MacPherson was awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal in the Summer of 1945 (ADM 171/153 refers), by which stage of the War H.M.S. Phoebe was on station in the Far East, where she added “Sabang 1944” and “Burma 1945” to her Battle Honours.
