Frederick Clewes attested for the Royal Field Artillery at Liverpool and served during the Great War on the Western Front from 28 November 1915. Posted to “A” Battery, 148th Brigade, he died on 20 October 1918, and is buried in Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille, France.
