George Adamson was born in 1879 and attested into the Cheshire Regiment in 1898, serving with the 2nd Battalion in South Africa during the Boer War. He saw further service with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 12 September 1914.

Sold with copied Medal Index Card and medal roll extracts which confirm that duplicate Boer War medals were issued in 1925.
