NORTHERN GAUL, Parisii, gold Stater, c. 104-100 BC, head of Apollo right with flowing wavy hair, rev. horse bounding right with pelleted mane, small rosette below, large ‘fishing net’ above, 6.87g/1h (Sills class 5b, O21/R27, this coin cited; CCI 01.1053, this coin; DLT 7777). Struck on a somewhat irregular flan, otherwise good very fine and very rare; the reverse perfectly centred and of wonderful fluid style £6,000-£8,000
