Martinique, an incredibly early bill of exchange for £100, dated 3 April 1799, written in Martinique payable to John Paterson Edq for "Extraordinary Expenses of His Majestys Forces in the Windward & Leeward Charibbee Islands", signed by John Glarland, reverse annotations: endorsed on back to J.P. Collin then to Messrs Joseph Antt & Son, water stained with small piece torn out of lower right edge otherwise fine and an extremely rare piece of British West Indies history! £200-£300
