Obverse beginning to tone, otherwise virtually as struck with full original colour, extremely rare (£800-1,000)

Rasmussen FPL 9, March 2006, item C8, £1,000) and ‘Gregory’ specimens (Baldwin Auction 44, lot 429, £1,000); another example, described by Laurie Bamford as ‘a bit proof like’ sold for £760 in January 2004 (Croydon Coin Auctions, lot 178)
