George IV (1820-1830), Proof Halfcrown, 1824, edge plain, 14.20g/6h (ESC 639b; S 3809). Two minor scratches in front of face visible on close inspection, otherwise virtually as struck and attractively toned, extremely rare (£2,000-2,500)
