James II (1437-1460), Demy, type II, mm. crown on obv., cross potent on rev., legend ends rex sco, lis stops, single pellet in upper arm of saltire, cross of pellets in lower arm, 3.31g/11h (cf. SCBI 35, 628; B 8b var, and fig. 465a; S 5190). Good very fine, the variety very rare (£1,000-1,200)
