Important British and World Coins

Mary (1542-1567), Testoon, type I, 1553, 4.61g/8h (Murray dies C3, and SNC 1981, p.397, no.3, this coin; B 1, fig. 780; SCBI 35, 1000-2; S 5401). Some old scratches, otherwise about fine, extremely rare, the portrait much better than on most specimens available to commerce; only four examples from these dies recorded by Murray (£1,500-1,800)
