16th century, brass stirrups (3), all pear shaped with oval tread, first with decorated suspension bar; 14 x 10 cm; second 13 x 10 cm; third with trefoil openwork decoration on suspension bar and twisted rope design on the side bars, 12.5 x 9.5 cm, All intact and rare, about very fine with green patina. £100-£150
All found in Bucks; one recorded as BUC-5D596F. The example with the twisted rope design was found directly in front of a built in 1485 that belonged to Henry VIII’s serjeant-at-law Thomas Pigott.
