Second Great Seal of the Commonwealth, 1651, by T. Simon, a uniface bronze copy of the rev., in the third yeare of freedome by gods blessing restored 1651, view of the House of Commons in session, approx. 144mm (Nathanson pp.20-1; Vertue pl. vii; Birch 599); together with a similar bronze medal to commemorate the 1970 Columbia Pictures film ‘Cromwell’ [2]. Good very fine, first in high relief with attractive brown patina £80-£100
