Ex Debenhams 1899, without clasp.

William Ashall was born in the Parish of Alterclaff, Sheffield, and enlisted into the Royal Artillery at Sheffield on 14 February 1790, aged eighteen, for unlimited service. He served in Gamble’s company, 6th Battalion, Royal Artillery, and is only entitled to the clasp for Maida. He was discharged to pension in the rank of Sergeant, after serving 29 years 260 days, on 31 October 1819.
