Collection
Charles H. Grey first entered the French theatre of war as a Lance-Corporal in the 2nd Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment in early November 1914. Subsequently advanced to Corporal and awarded the M.S.M. ‘In recognition of valuable services rendered with the forces in France during the War’ (London Gazette 17 June 1918 refers), he was for many years a postman at Pontypool, where he also served as a Councillor and Chairman of the local Council.
