Thomas Morris, who was born at Tredegar and enlisted at Newport, and was the son of James and Ann Morris of Bargoed, was first embarked for active service in October 1915. Killed in action at Sequehart on 8 October 1918, while serving in the 1st Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment, he was 29 years of age and is buried in the Sequehart British Cemetery; also sold with original Record Office forwarding letter for his British War & Victory Medals, addressed to his mother at Bargoed and dated 4 March 1922.
