Alfred Eyles was born in Paddington, London on 15 August 1867. He entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 13 April 1883. He was promoted Petty Officer 2nd Class in February 1895 whilst serving aboard the Trafalgar and Petty Officer 1st Class in April 1897 whilst on the Centurion. He died of disease at Portland Hospital on 12 October 1914. Sold with copied service paper.
