Kent Militia Artillery, the extremely rare two part officer’s helmet plate 1853-c56, as used on the leather helmet, a plated QVC rococo shield bearing gilt mounts comprising a gilt fused grenade with applied silver ‘VR’ cypher and large crossed cannon barrels below, a separate furled plated scroll inscribed ‘Kent’, six blade fasteners, some wear to plating and one blade fastener reaffixed, otherwise very good condition (2) £350-450
