The Royal Regiment of Artillery, a very fine and rare officer’s copper gilt shako plate 1846-55, the eight pointed star with overlays comprising the Royal Arms, cannon, and ‘Ubique’ and ‘Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt’ scrolls, two loop fasteners (KK803); together with the corresponding other ranks single piece die-stamped brass pattern of similar format, two loop fasteners, the first item with glue strengthened fasteners, otherwise near mint state the latter probably excavated with ‘filler’ strengthening areas to the reverse and replacement loops (2) £350-400
