The Royal Regiment of Artillery, a most rare and possibly unique other ranks die-stamped brass tarleton helmet plate for the RA Drivers c1812-16, being a crowned circular roped edge strap, this with three cannons in pale, two replacemnt loop fasteners (originally wires), the base of the buckle missing and the crown with a small hole through the diadem, otherwise in remarkably good state for such a light-weight item £400-600

This lot was sold as part of a special collection, The Collection of Artillery Insignia formed by the late Norman Litchfield.
