Yorkshire Banking Company, a £5 made from two halves of two different notes, 4 August 1871, serial numbers 1161 and 144458, stamped CANCELLED several times, joined with tape at the centre, very good and rare, even if it is technically two notes!
Outing 1137b £100-£150
Rather amusingly the left half of this note is printed by W.H.Lizars in Edinburgh, and the right half by Sprague & Co., London.
This lot was sold as part of a special collection, The David Muscott Collection of Northern County Provincial Banknotes.
