5 officers and 89 other ranks of the 19th Hussars fought at Kirbekan, of whom 2 officers and 28 other ranks received 5-clasp medals with Kirbekan.

Thomas Kennedy joined at Dublin on 7 November 1879, aged 18, and was transferred to the Army Reserve on 25 June 1886 (WO 12/1417; WO 16/1269).
