The Faiers brothers, Samuel, Henry and John, operated at least four hairdressing establishments in the 1840’s through to the 1870’s, though John filed for bankruptcy in 1843 and is not listed on this note. They had branches in Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester and in London. All had wives and other family members assisting in the business. This note also advertises the sale of Jewellery, Cutlery, Shell Combs and Hairbrushes. The note was printed in Norwich by a local printer, Dallinger, to a good standard.
