The Fighting Parson was a drama in which ‘A disowned heir takes the blame for his brother's illegitimate child, joins the church and fights a slum bully’.
The Kursaal is an impressive building and is still standing. Until recently it was operating as a casino and bowling alley, among other things. However, at the time of writing, only the Tesco Express remains in operation, the rest of the building being closed.
