Bank Establishment for Wines and Spirits, for Henry James, Shadwell, a note in the style of a Bank of England £10, 1 April 1834, serial number 211, promising to ‘supply The Bearer with any Quantity of Old & Genuine Wines & Spirits or forfeit the Sum of Ten Pounds on demand’, with a vine vignette of what appears to be Bacchus at left, good fine, attractive and finely printed

Nothing can be found of Henry James and his Establishment, but the Printer of this note, J.W.Peel was fined at least once for producing similar notes, which were judged to be far too much like the genuine Bank of England example.
