L. Alberts probably refers to Laura Alberts, a Polish, (almost certainly Jewish) immigrant to London. She was born in 1861 and the 1911 census shows her living in London with her husband Sydney, both running a fish restaurant in St. Pancras. This note is almost certainly from after the death of her husband in 1831.
