Banco Nacional Ultramarino, Portuguese India, obverse and reverse uniface colour trials for 50 Rupias, 1 January 1924, each with a section removed from left margin, along with the two removed sections, both of which are stuck to a sheet of paper addressed to Mr. Gough at the B.N.U. Nova Goa, with the note ‘These are approved colours for the Rs100’, and signed and dated 10 October 1942, notes with various pencil annotations, in PMG holders 63, choice uncirculated, previously mounted, extra sheet also in PMG holder, a completely unique trio of items, and an important part of the history of this series. The 100 Rupia note was never issued in the 1938 series and only exists as a specimen (2 notes, 1 additional item)
