Kings of Wessex, Alfred the Great, Penny, Phase III [BMC xvii], Two Line type, Canterbury, Deorweald, elfred rex doro, cross pattée, rev. diarvald mo divided by three central pellets, additional single pellet above and below, 1.45g/2h (SCBI Norweb 144, same rev. die; BMC 10; N 638; S 1069). Some doubling on obverse, otherwise better than very fine, grey tone £700-£900
