Jasper Higginson Bell (1809-95), Royal Engineers, Mint Master at Madras September 1855 to June 1856, officiating Mint Master at Calcutta June 1856 to September 1858, resumed his post at Madras September 1858 to April 1859. In later life he retired to Bromley, Kent
