Trifling marks on both sides, otherwise brilliant mint state, of the highest rarity; no other specimens believed known

Owner’s envelope, “Denomination and values much smaller and date – 1946 –”.

XRF analysis shows the metal content as 99.5% nickel, with traces of iron, manganese and copper. Interestingly, this coin also displays one clear relief diamond or ‘pyramis’ between the n and d of india (see footnote to Lot 1582)
