Art.) officially engraved naming, the last clasp a contemporary tailor’s copy; New Zealand Long and Efficient Service Medal (Major John E. Hume, N.Z. John Edward Hume served with the New Zealand Artillery in the South African War 1900-01, including operations in the Orange Free State in May 1900; operations in the Transvaal in May and June 1900, including actions near Johannesburg, Pretoria and Diamond Hill (11 and 12 June); operations in the Transvaal, east of Pretoria, from July to September 1900, including action at Belfast (26 and 27 August); and operations in Cape Colony from February to April 1900 (Queen’s medal with 5 clasps).
