George III (1760-1820), Soho Mint, Birmingham, Proof Farthing, 1799 (late Soho), in bronzed-copper, laureate bust right, brooch with 6 recut jewels, small pellet on shoulder, rev. Britannia seated left, olive branch with 7 leaves of which 4 are detached, defective right limb to last a in britannia, edge centre-grained, 7.21g/6h (BMC 1277 [KF 10]; Cooke 300, this coin; ‘Selig’ 1430; S 3779). Spot on hair and trifling spots by date, otherwise brilliant and virtually as struck, scarce £200-£260
