George III (1760-1820), Soho Mint, Birmingham, Proof Halfpenny, 1806 (early Soho), in gilt-copper, laureate bust right, wreath of 11 leaves, brooch of 8 perfect jewels, k on shoulder, rev. Britannia seated left, olive branch with 10 leaves and 2 berries, no line under soho, ship with 2 stays from foremast to bowsprit, edge centre-grained, 9.42g/12h (BMC 1357 [KH 33]; S 3781). Brilliant and virtually as struck, fully reflective surfaces, most attractive [certified and graded NGC PF 62 Cameo] £700-£900
