No. 7 (Leicester) Company, 4th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry.
Ernest Bell was born at Bourne, Lincolnshire and enlisted in the Imperial Yeomanry in January 1900, aged 35 years. He was subsequently discharged in South Africa in November of the same year, in order that he could take up an appointment in the Johannesburg Police.
