Edward Lakin was born in St. Margaret’s, Leicester and enlisted at Leicester. Serving with the 1/4th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 13 October 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
