Private Harry J. Sumpter, 2nd Dragoon Guards, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 15 August 1914. Served in Allenby’s Cavalry Division - the bays being caught up in the action at Nery. With copied m.i.c. - clasp confirmed.
