William Thomas Jennings was born, lived and enlisted at Accrington, Lancashire. Serving in the 6th (Service) Battalion King’s Own Scottish Borderers, he was killed in action on the first day of the battle of Loos, 25 September 1915, aged 21 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. He was the son of William Henry and Ann Jane Jennings, of 48 Devonshire Street, Accrington. With copied casualty details.
