Provenance: Puttick and Simpson, November 1905; Gordon’s Medals 1997.

Benjamin Rodgers/Rogers, was born in the Parish of Sutton, Derbyshire, and enlisted for the 5th Dragoon Guards on 11 July 1809, a Miner by trade, aged 18. He served in Spain and France with the 5th Dragoon Guards until 25 June 1815, when he was transferred to the 5th Royal Regiment of Veterans, from which regiment he was discharged on 25 May 1816, in consequence of ‘reduction and lameness’, after a total service of 6 years 318 days. Sold with copied discharge papers.
