Coxe received his Royal Naval Reserve L.S. Medal at the training establishment Duke in January 1945. Presumably demobilised shortly afterwards, it is just conceivable that he could have immediately enrolled in the “Wavy Navy” and then gone on to qualify for the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve L.S. Medal in 1947, after 12 years service; it is also possible, of course, that the latter Medal was actually awarded to another member of the Coxe family.
