Eleanor Paterson, who was born in January 1912, was demobilised in the rank of Acting Junior Commander at Guildford in February 1946; sold with a quantity of original documentation, including her Women Officers’ Release Book, Release Certificate, and letters acknowledging service, one of the latter, from the War Office, dated 13 April 1946, with her rank as Subaltern, together with Army Council campaign medal forwarding slip, the above described awards being ticked in pencil on the reverse.
