Norman Hunter Coutts was born in Aberdeenshire in October 1889 and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force direct from the Militia in September 1914. Subsequently embarked for France in the 1st Canadian Division’s Signalling Company, he died of wounds at Ypres on 26 April 1915. He is buried in the Duhallow (Advanced Dressing Station) Cemetery; sold with copied attestation papers.
