Alex John Stiff, a native of Buckland, Dover, was awarded his M.M. in respect of services in 3/Anti-Aircraft Searchlight Company, R.E. (official records refer).
Granted a Regular Army Emergency Commission as a Lieutenant in his old corps in March 1941, he attained the rank of Honorary Captain in March 1944; sold with brief research.
