1939 Black Wound Badges.
Two examples, the first a very good quality example, maker’s mark ‘E.S.P.’ [Eugen Schmidthaussler, Pforzheim] on back; the second a scarce late War 1944-45 type in zinc. Maker’s mark ‘E.S.P.’ [Eugen Schmidthaussler, Pforzheim] on back, the pin is in brass, rather than steel, and the hinge has a reinforcing ‘foot’ to it, very good condition (2) £120-£160
