Henry Barrett Carpenter (1861-1930), artist and long-time headmaster of Rochdale School of Art. His publications include ‘Suggestions for the Study of Colour’, published by Rochdale Art School, 1915 and ‘Colour: A Manual of its Theory and Practice’ published by Batsfords in 1933.
